Benefit enhancement season is coming! Let’s make sure your cover is right for you in the coming year. Here are some things to consider when assessing whether your chosen option is sufficient for your upcoming healthcare needs.

Our benefit enhancements and average contribution increase for 2023 will be released in October. Once you’ve received the official Scheme correspondence with the enhancements for your chosen option, you can review whether or not your plan is still right for you.

Things to consider when reviewing your chosen option

When considering whether your current cover is sufficient, think about the following:

  • Will you need to undergo an extensive medical procedure within the next year?
  • Are you planning a family or adding a new member to the family?
  • Were you diagnosed with any new chronic condition(s)?
  • Are you covering an elderly family member as an adult dependant?
  • Did you run out of savings or day-to-day benefits before the end of the year last year?
  • Have you experienced a life changing event, such as an accident or new disability?

You can consult the 2022 Bestmed Comparative guide here.

Use your benefits!

As the year comes to a close, so does your opportunity to maximise on your 2022 benefits.
